Low T Symptoms: Athletic Ability
Struggling with low testosterone makes it that much harder to keep up.
Our bodies start to slow down as we age. Running the mile time you held in college, or lifting the weights you did in your twenties often seems unattainable.
Many men report going to the gym with the same effort they did in younger years, but not seeing the same results. It has become more difficult to build muscle and keep off the belly fat.
Sadly, many men assume this is due to age, and ‘give up’ on achieving or maintaining the athletic ability of their youth.

Have you ever wondered why some men are able to perform at peak athletic ability even in their 40’s? Healthy testosterone levels play a key role in this.
Studies have shown that medically guided testosterone therapy effectively promotes gains in muscle strength and physical function in older men.

Testosterone and Body Fat
Testosterone helps regulate insulin, glucose and metabolism.
When testosterone levels are low, our body’s ability to regulate insulin, glucose and metabolism decreases, which in turn causes more body fat accumulation. In addition, this fatty tissue may also contribute to decreasing testosterone levels by converting testosterone to estrogen.
What does this mean? Without treatment for low testosterone, this negative feedback loop will continue to increase body fat and reduce testosterone.
